This cafe used to be good. It reopened under new management a few weeks ago and now it's absolutely fabulous. The baking is out of this world, the pastries probably the best we've ever tasted. Apparently the pastry chef trained in Paris and it shows! Excellent coffee as well.

The new location is in a lovely spot in the park. The food was amazing as it was in the last place, we had vegan steak & mushroom sandwich, mushrooms on toast, pastries and lattes. All was absolutely lush. Amazing pastries, texture was perfect and the coffee was nice & strong. Staff also very polite. Highly recommend!!

I miss Sweden and this place has great pastries (cardamon pastry) yum! Right next to the park and beautiful building. 5* coffee! Funny toilet sign

Fika is a quirky plant-based cafe on the city walls of Chester. The service is fast and friendly and the coffee is top notch. The vegan breakfast options are really tasty and the poached ‘egg’ - based on a secret recipe- has to be tasted and seen to be believed. Well worth a visit.

During our city walls walk, we came across this charming little cafe. The atmosphere was delightful, and the mocha, cinnamon bun, and scone were delicious. We look forward to revisiting during our next trip.

I stumbled upon this place while having to be in Chester regularly and I am so glad I did. The place itself is stunning, the service is warm, welcoming and very friendly and the coffee and pastries are amazing. Everything is plant based but if you are not someone who follows a plant based diet, it is still impressive. I'd wager if you follow a plant based diet, you'll love this place because nothing feels like a compromise or an after thought. The care and attention to everything is second to none. A great bonus is being able to support a local gem.

first time visiting the new location and what a stunning location, service was quick and friendly, i had an oat flat white which was perfect and a juicy marbles sandwich which i had with gluten free bread, the food was delicious, cannot wait to return

A cute little hidden gem, off the beaten track, tucked away from the main street on the city wall. You'd never even know it was here, but the plant-based menu is amazing, the staff and owners are lovely, and the food is just exceptional! Certainly one not to miss.
